Nepal Plane Crash: Pilot sole survivor

Just seconds before the remainder of the aircraft burst into flames, the pilot who escaped a fatal plane accident in Nepal was spared when his cockpit separated from the aircraft upon impact with a freight container. The only survivor of the tragedy that murdered eighteen people at the Kathmandu airport, Captain Manish Ratna Shakya, is receiving medical attention in a hospital, but according to BBC Nepali, he is speaking and able to inform his family that he is “all good.” As flames approached the cockpit portion of the airplane trapped in the container, rescuers informed the BBC that they had arrived at the injured pilot. Because the air shield was exposed, he was having trouble breathing. We smashed the window and dragged him out right away. Senior Nepal Police Superintendent.
