Lil Wayne Announces “Tha Carter VI” with Historic Madison Square Garden Show. Hip-hop legend Lil Wayne has set the internet ablaze with the announcement of his highly anticipated album, Tha Carter VI. It is slated for release on June 6, 2025.

The news, shared via X, comes with a nostalgic album cover featuring a childhood photo of Wayne. it is digitally adorned with his signature facial tattoos. This is a nod to his journey from a New Orleans prodigy to a global icon. This marks the sixth chapter in the Grammy-winning Tha Carter series. The series has collectively sold over 15 million units, per RIAA data.

Wayne’s last album in the series, “Tha Carter V,” released in 2018, was a triumphant return after years of legal battles with Cash Money Records.
