Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi opens up about the health struggles she had in 2024. She shared that her husband, Banky W, also had major health issues. On her birthday, February 22, Adesua posted a touching message on Instagram.
She talked about the tough year she had, saying it made things hard for her. She also shared that she had been feeling sick for months and had to go through a lot with her health. On top of her own health struggles, her husband, Banky W, had to have another surgery for cancer. The actress said she had to have an emergency C-section, which made her recovery hard and painful.
Even though she faced difficulties, Adesua thanked the doctors and nurses in Lagos and Washington, D. C, for helping her. She also thanked Banky W for always being there for them during their tough times.
“2024 challenged me in ways I never expected. While dealing with my own health problems, I had to see the person I love go through another cancer operation. Then, I had an emergency C-section and it was hard to recover. It was really too much to handle,” she wrote.
She also said
“The recovery was really tough. It was a lot to deal with. I want to thank all the doctors who took care of me in Lagos, Nigeria, and the team in Washington DC who really helped save my life. I am here, and I feel thankful. I also want to thank God for my amazing husband. Banky, I love you a lot. I want to thank everyone who was kind to me in 2024, especially those who didn’t know about my struggles. I realize I missed a lot. I made many mistakes, but you were kind and filled me with love. The people in my village are amazing. God has used this time to help me grow and to show me that I can do much more than I thought I could. Now Right now, I’m going after everything that belongs to me. Nothing and no one can hold me back. I woke up to the greatest gift of all. “@jemimaosunde came to surprise me.”
Adesua is still hopeful and determined. She says she is starting a new chapter where she will be strong and get back everything she has lost.
