50 Cent Mocks Jay-Z Over Sexual Assault Lawsuit and Super Bowl Halftime Show Concerns
Rapper 50 Cent trolls Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs over sexual assault allegations, questioning Jay-Z’s role in the Super Bowl halftime show.
Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has taken aim at music mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter on social media following Carter’s inclusion in a sexual assault lawsuit alongside 50 Cent’s long-standing rival, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday night, Jackson mocked both Carter and Combs with an AI-generated video depicting the two being arrested and sent to jail. Accompanying the video, Jackson joked that the clip made him “afraid” he might get “shot.”
This comes months after Jackson had repeatedly questioned why Jay-Z, who has denied the allegations, remained silent regarding the sexual assault accusations against Combs.
Earlier on Monday, Jackson had taken to X (formerly Twitter) to mock Jay-Z’s association with the Super Bowl halftime show, asking: “Ok I don’t know what’s going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl. ???? I’m just asking for a friend.” The comment referred to Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s company, which produces the NFL’s halftime show.
Later that day, during an interview with radio host Big Boy, Jackson laughed about his post, claiming he was asking on behalf of next year’s headliner, Kendrick Lamar. He added that he believes the NFL might reconsider its partnership with Carter amid the lawsuit.
Jackson also criticized a recent statement issued by Carter through Roc Nation’s social media accounts, where Carter denied the allegations. He called the response “combative” and suggested it was likely written by a lawyer rather than a publicist.
Despite his jabs, Jackson expressed some sympathy for Carter, referencing his young children and saying, “I hope things are alright for [Jay-Z] internally.” Jackson also noted the cultural climate’s tendency to incriminate individuals based on accusations alone, saying, “It’s not even about what you did—it’s about what they said you did.”
Jackson’s comments continue to fuel discussions surrounding high-profile lawsuits and their impact on public figures and corporate partnerships.
